State Rep. Matt Hall (R-Emmett Township) today issued the following statement after a joint Senate and House Oversight Committee meeting regarding the release of the performance audit of the Grand Rapids Home for Veterans:

“I have concerns about the administration of prescriptions to members living at the home. It is important that our veterans are receiving medication in a timely manner and that this is being documented correctly. We also need to ensure that member subsidiary accounts are being properly administered and reconciled.

“I will be calling on the Office of the Auditor General to conduct an expedited follow up audit to confirm that steps are being taken to rectify the concerns outlined in this performance audit.”
